"Uncle Nickey" once was a wealthy man from the formerly white community in Namibia, fate turned against him and landed up in the Otjimuise Township in Katutura Windhoek. When visiting him this morning I was shocked to see how he lost it. He is still positive about the future. "Uncle Nickey" as I call him to protect his dignity is hopeful he will return to the lifestyle he once knew. The lesson I learned from him is that NO one can be sure he or she will never end up like him. As the only child with parents who passed away, he has nobody,,no family no friends except "Aunty Kathy" who herself has nothing on earth, works as a patron at a local hotel, who took him into her humble house built of pieces of metal plate and other building material to shelter them from the wind. There is NO running water, electricity or even isolation against the elements. Sad indeed. I apologize for the sound quality experienced a technical problem during filming.
