Namibian boast with world class boxers

Namibian Boxers are well known for their agility and skills. Harry "the Terminator" Simon stopped Hungarian Zoltan Kiss Jr in his tracks within the third round while Gotfried Ndokosho showed the Egyptian "The Butcher" Mustafa he is not worth his title when he was also stopped in the third round.

The Terminator vs Kiss

Namibia's former boxing champ Harry Simon, face Hungarian Kiss in a non title fight. The Hungarian  seems hungry to make sure "The Terminator" Simon is silenced. Nampa was at the Hosea Kutako International Airport outside Windhoek when Zoltan Kiss arrived on Wednesday.

Namibian Cricket girls doing well, despite the infancy of the sport in the country.

Namibian ladies as recent as four years ago decided to venture into the traditional male sport commonly known as cricket. The ladies do everything their male counterparts do during a cricket match. And they fielders are not scared of taking wickets due to good fielding and focused bowling.

First ever Red Bull Extreme Enduro not easy on riders and their machines.

The first ever Red Bull Extreme Enduro outside Windhoek this past weekend was not created with ease in mind. The riders had to work hard for their respective places while the bikes also endured punishment as the terrain was not easy at all. The link bellow will take you to the highlights of the event.

Against all odds Namibia kept the mighty Super Eagles from Nigeria on their feet

Namibia's soccer team the Brave Warriors ensured the Africa champs, the Super Eagles ( Nigeria) could not dominate the FIFA qualifying match in Windhoek. The local team surprised everyone as their commitment, determination and stamina ensured the Nigerians had to work very hard for their only goal.

sleepy town of Uis awakened by bank Windhoek Enduro this past weekend

This past weekend saw top enduro riders taking on the old tin mine of Uis in the Erongo region. Namibian Athletes bring back medals, but lack National colours

The Namibian athletes that recently took part in the senior championships in Botswana raked in medals, but their fame was not supported by the Namibia Sports Commission as someone there did not do his/her work ensuring the athletes are dressed in Namibia's national colours. Walter Haseb offered an excuse and apologized to the athletes, but a national apology is also needed as it is our flag that was not presented at an international event.

Young Namibian athletes raked in gold at Athletic Championships in Botswana

Namibia's relatively young athletes ensured they made their presence are felt at an athletic championships in Botswana. Namibia ended 2nd after host Botswana. Powerhouses like Zambia and Zimbabwe sent strong and large delegations. yet Namibia set the pace when it came to standards.

Boxer Harry Simon back in the ring after more than a year

Namibian boxer Harry Simon back in the ring after more than a year. Simon former Namibian boxing champ returned after several years away from the ring after a serious motor vehicle accident that claimed the lives of three tourists more than a decade ago. Africa Stars Bidvest Namibia champions for 2013

The past weekend saw top notch soccer at the Sam Nujoma soccer stadium in Windhoek after Africa Stars and Mighty Gunners faced each other in the finals.
