Heroes day will be commemorated at the site where the first shots were exchanged between PLAN and the SA security forces on 26 August 1966

Namibia's freedom did not come cheap, and the 2013 Heroes day commemorations will take place at the historic site where PLAN fighters and SA security forces exchanged the very first shots on 26 August 1966. Nampa travelled to the site, but not without getting an interview with the governor from the Omusati region that stands central in the history of our liberation struggle.
