21 slightly injured and one serious after a collision between a SUV and a bus close to Langstrand.


The Namib Times a coastal news paper reported one person was seriously injured and 21 sustain lesser injuries after a motorist in a SUV crashed into a bus
carrying 20 workers between the two coastal towns. The accident occurred late on Saturday Afternoon on the stretch between Swakopmund and Wakvisbay in the vicinity of Langstrand. Police investigations into the accident continues

And in Windhoek. The City Police and Namibian Police arrested several motorists last night for driving under the influence of alcohol. A man in his twenties fled from the scene of an accident after his vehicle left the road close to the Van Eck power station, but was arrested shortly after the accident. His alcohol level exceeded the limit and was arrested. It is expected he will appear in court early next week.
