Marfa Texas, had the honor to spent a few days during 2010 in that town. Reminds me of Namibia.

Had the privilege to paid a second 

visit to the USA in 2010. Working on a documentary 

on food security and environment I had the 

the chance to work in places like 

Texas,  Washington and the Gulf 

of Mexico three months after 

the BP oil spill. I took a boat trip to visit 

some of the islands ( or Bayous ) as they call it, to 

experience the effect of the oil on the environment. 

Marfa was one of those towns

where I met ranchers as they call themselves, we call them 

farmers or in this case cattle farmers. This 

experience was made possible by the 

USA cultural centre and USA embassy in Namibia.
