Poaching in Namibia?

Poaching in Namibia? the ministry of environment last week claimed there are NO poaching taking place in Namibia. The past week or so I received several tip offs of poaching of lions, elephants, hippos and other game in the Kwando/Kongola area. I want to believe that,  as i saw two years ago how a hippo calf was poached by Kavanago's and Angolans about a 100 kilometers from Divundu in the Kavango region. Upon confronting the game wardens of that area their "lame excuse was "it's Sunday and they will investigate Monday" Why do several people from various sources keep on sharing that with me?, and the environment department claims all is kosher?. The picture below is a group of herders I met last year and they openly admit they do shoot any animals in their region regardless protected or not. Here they showed us the traditional weapons they make use of.

trophies of their kill. This picture was taken
in a community forest between Namibia
and Angola mid 2011.
