Three arrested after found in possession of fake money to the tune of almost N$ 12000.00 in Erongo region.

Erongo regional Police Commissioner Sameul //Hoebeb announced yesterday three men were arrested after found with counterfeit money. The Police acted swiftly after a tip off from a bar lady in Swakopmund after a client offered to pay for his drink with a fake N$ 100.00. The police in their follow up investigations arrested two more Namibian males. An amount of N$ 11 900.00 was recovered. The three were expected to appear this morning in the Magistrates court of the holiday resort. The denominations of 25x N$ 200.00, 8x N$ 100.00 ( old notes ) 60x N$ 100.00 new notes, 2x N$ 50.00 notes and a few U$ dollars were found in a Windhoek registered vehicle in the Mondesa informal settlement. More arrests might follow soon said Commissioner //Hoebeb.
