Not a dull moment for the COPPS 94.1 team.

COPPS 94.1 a joint venture and first ever police reality radio show between Kosmos 94.1 and the Windhoek City Police last night showed a reduction in the normal "Friday Night Crime" like traffic offender, driving under the influence, jumping red lights and alcohol related incidents. The worst case we were called out was a natural death after a man died at his home. Upon arrival relatives informed us the man was sick and expected him to part sooner or later.

On the accident scene it seems much less accidents were reported with a scene full of riddles after a LDV had a slight encounter with a truck. Although no injuries were reported the City Police had to puzzle on who was responsible and who not as both blame the other party for the accident. The accident took place barley an hour after COPPS kicked of at 20h00.

Again we travelled to one of the hotspots in Katutura that need frequent police monitoring as  the place is famous for it's sjebeens and murders. However the sjebeen was under the control, it was an unregistered red sedan that caught the City Police's attention. The car was last registered in 2009, and the roadworthiness was surely doubtful as the windows were all broken or missing to mention only but one reason to scrap the car.

in an unrelated incident the City Police also had to figure out on how and why a sedan landed up in a river as the driver claims nature called, and when he came back his car was not where he parked it, but a few meters further in the river. The damage to his car runs into several thousands of dollar.

The only damage to the SA registered truck was a
few dents in his stone guards.

Damages to the Windhoek Registered AWD vehicle
was limited to the left side of the car.

so much for innovative plastic
windows and a cracked windscreen. This
vehicle's last license was issued
back in 2009.
