Four survived aircraft accident in Erongo Region.

Four people escaped only with minor and slight injuries after a light aircraft went down 5 nautical miles east of Swakopmund in the Erongo region. The incident too place late Friday afternoon. The pilot of the Cessna C 210 with the registration V5 VVJ from Scenic Air made an emergency landing close to Nonidas in the Namib desert. His professionalism and training ensured all survived the emergency landing. Investigations into the accident by the authorities is underway. 

This is the second aircraft accident this year after a similar 
aircraft made an emergency landing in the Etosha national park close 
to Fort Namutoni in the pans January this year. The wreck of the 
Cessna was dismantled and removed from the salt water pans by 
Expedite Aviation's Huey and taken to dry land from where it was transported to Windhoek.
