NOT FOR SENSITIVE VIEWERS
A man was killed instantly after crossing the Western Bypass around midday yesterday. The circumstances is still unclear. The busy road dividing the city from the townships is a death trap. Pedestrians killed on this road is a regular sight, as many cross the road without ensuring their own or the safety of others. The problem is not unique to this busy section, as many jaywalkers in town plainly ignore the road and pedestrian safety warnings. It is almost common practice for jaywalkers to stroll/cross the roads in the city centre without considering the safety aspects. Police investigations into the matter continue.
