With the recent fires north of Windhoek still fresh in our minds, a group of workers from Namwater allegedly cause a fire near Blumfelde close to Mariental. Although no animal losses or damage to infrastructure were reported almost a 1000 hectares valuable grazing were destroyed. According to a neighboring farmer if the workers put safety measures into place when working with power tools the fire could have been prevented.
