Nasa's so called Supermoon will be visible Saturday night when it rises in the east. The moon will then be at it's closest to the earth, at a distance of almost 357-thousand kilometers. The normal distance between mother earth and the moon is 384 400 kilometers. The moon will be up to 14% larger, and 30% brighter. It is difficult to observe the difference between a normal full moon and the so called "Supermoon" but is best to observe when close to horizon. The unnatural phenomena of the moon looking "oversized" when close to the horizon, or any other beacons like trees, buildings or mountains cannot be explained.
