A rainstorm accompanied by gust winds in the early morning hours in Windhoek surprised many, yet this is not uncommon according to Namibia Weather Network.

were caught off guard when a quick thunder storm
broke out shortly after four this morning. According

winds of up to 35 kph were measured, while 4mm
of rain fell, bringing the total rainfall for this season
in Windhoek to 424 mm.
